Gone are the days of building the best store front. While having a brick and mortal store still has merit and makes sense for many businesses, today’s world is all about having a solid online presence. Without it, you will likely fall short of the competition in any given field. With it, you have a chance of surviving. But only if you have a dedicated team working doggedly on your SEO.

First, What is SEO?

SE =  Search Engine

These are the omniscient machines we use to run our lives. You think of something, you go to the search engine to confirm you. Got a question? Ask the search engine. Need quick some fast facts? You get the point.

The biggest and most dominant search engine is Google. But you can’t discount Yahoo or Bing or the recent explosion of Baidu in China. And don’t forget about DuckDuckGo… Simply put, a search engine takes your data and locates the best results to match what you are looking for.

O = Optimization

This means to make something better. Or more precisely to make something the absolute best.

When we refer to optimization in connection with a search engine, we are referring to making YOUR WEBSITE showing up at the top of search results.

Meaning when someone goes online to search for a product that you sell or deliver, the search queries show your site at the top. And really the only valid target is to land on page of 1 of the search results.  Anything beyond that is likely not to be seen.

SEO = Search Engine Optimization: “The process of maximizing the number of visitors to a particular website by ensuring that the site appears high on the list of results returned by a search engine.” — Oxford Languages

SEO is about making your content rank as high as possible when people search for the items your website delivers.  The end product of this is people coming to your site and using your products. Going back to the physical store comparison, SEO is what makes digital visitors walk past the threshold and through your front door.

MindCloud Can Add Value

There are many factors that go into SEO and entire businesses built solely around providing such services.

One thing that all search engines are looking for are sites that provide the service they promise to provide and do it with speed. Google’s intention, for example, is to provide results of the top sites who will perform the function you need and do so with efficiency.

This doesn’t mean that just because you are the best Google will put you first.

But it does mean that you will rank higher if you are consistently effective and efficient and have people who have reviewed your site and confirmed what you say to be true.

To bump up your authority and online value, you need to have rapid connections that enable your services to be provided faster than your competitors.

MindCloud specializes in API connections to platforms and applications across the web. Tell us your need and we can customize it. Find out how.
